Adventures in a Toddler Bed

Timothy has taken a step forward as of last night…he slept in a toddler bed, converted from his crib. We added a rail to the side to make it safe, and pillows to the floor just in case. He cried for a minute, then ended up looking like this:

This morning I had just a little trouble putting him down for his nap. He didn’t get out of the bed, but cried and hung his feet over the side. I gently put him back on the mattress and told him that it was time for a nap. I stood at the door with it cracked open just a touch to make sure he didn’t hurt himself trying to get out, but he soon gave up on that and went to sleep curled up with his blanket.
